Who are you?  How do you feel about reading and writing? What do you struggle with? What do you feel you are good at? What are your experiences as a reader and writer in the past?

 

My name is Ashley Morrow, I love to read Mysteries, Dramas and some horror depending on how explicit the content starts off,  and I also love romance novels, so I like to read just not everything. I love to write however, I do struggle with correct punctuation and grammar I am comfortable writing complete sentences,paragraphs or an essay that make the reader understand the message I am trying to convey.

My experiences as a reader and a writer are put to use a lot in my past work history where I have had to compose emails and send them to upper management or critique certain learning material so the reader can understand what is being taught. I have  had to do a lot of reading with my previous jobs by following up and refreshing my mind with current and new policy and procedures or new laws/regulations.

 

Then, since the focus of our readings in this class are on monsters, I’d like you to take inventory of how you feel about monsters. What is a monster? What sort of monster stories do you enjoy (and not enjoy?) What were you scared of as a kid? What sort of monster stories (if any) scare you now?

 

A monster is a fictional creature that is scary looking and can be frightening depending on the audience. when I was child I loved horror movies and monsters however, when I became an adult I no longer had the desire to watch horror movies or anything that had to do with a monster. When I was in my early 20’s I had a really bad dream and my interest for horror movies and monsters went down the drain I actually started being scared to watch horror movies or any movies with any type of monsters in it, especially with the lights off.  As an adult I do not engage in readings about monster stories just because its not an interest and I prefer to read something more realistic, non fiction and educational but when I was a child I use to love the Adam’s Family. As an adult I would watch Tremors or predator ever now and then but the lights have to be on and someone home. (lol)
